I began doing these meditation paintings after my daily meditation practice as a creative exercise to access my authentic self and artistic voice. Instead of doing morning pages, I wanted to do something which spoke more directly to me as a visual person. So I began making these 6 x 6 inch gouache, graphite and color pencil paintings. I cherish these paintings for they provide creative input for my larger paintings.
