This meditation painting, a landscape perhaps, was done after an afternoon drive through western Massachusetts looking at green pastures where cows grazed and at farms with rows of planted vegetable all with the Berkshire mountains as a backdrop.
I began doing these meditation paintings after my daily meditation practice as a creative exercise to access my authentic self and artistic voice. Instead of doing morning pages, I wanted to do something which spoke more directly to me as a visual person. So I began making these 6 x 6 inch gouache, graphite and color pencil paintings. I cherish these paintings for they provide creative input for my larger paintings.
