Having fun using all kinds of materials. This mixed media piece uses protective strips from Staples's envelopes, craypas, blue painter's tape and shredded paper. Enjoying creating depth and flatness as the same time.
I began doing these meditation paintings after my daily meditation practice as a creative exercise to access my authentic self and artistic voice. Instead of doing morning pages, I wanted to do something which spoke more directly to me as a visual person. So I began making these 6 x 6 inch gouache, graphite and color pencil paintings. I cherish these paintings for they provide creative input for my larger paintings.
